I have been betting poker now for about 5 years, I have wagered cards my entire life beginning with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various forms of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so eloquently called, card on head game. I used to usually win, whatever game we were playing and although I liked to call it skill, it was incredibly tough to justify considering the randomness of the games we were playing, so I was over joyed to accept I was having a prolonged run of luck.

Then came Poker, or far more importantly Holdem Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card gamblers in the sixties and since grown into one of the largest card phenomena ever observed. Poker is absolutely the new black, it's ultra cool with many of the world's leading superstars racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick scan through the TV channels nowadays and you are able to not escape from poker, and of course there is the fabled World Series of Poker, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each and every single gambler.

So with all of this fresh found popularity, with so many Tv shows dedicated to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the top minds on poker, when are individuals going to learn that this casino game is all about position!?

Perhaps I must not get so worked up about this, after all the far more persons who wrestle with the delicate techniques and approaches necessary for winning consistently at Texas hold'em, the far better it can be for everyone else, appropriate? I mean, if they cannot be bothered to look at all of the obtainable information about why position is so critical, why need to we bother? We must just be happy there is another fish at the table!
