Stu is considered by many to the finest No Limit Hold em Poker player ever.

The 3 time World Poker Champion was born in New York in '53 and started wagering poker before reaching his teens.

The young gambler began betting gin and at the age of ten had won his very first gin tournament, while on holiday with his mother and father. By the time he turned 14 the small poker genius had turned professional and stopped going to school.

In 1954 Stu entered the history books by succeeding 10 grand in a gin rummy tournament without losing a single hand, a record which still remains in New York these days.

The fast talking wiz kid has been compared, in poker terms, to athletic superstars like Joe Namath and Tiger Woods. Stu Ungar had a real skill for playing poker except regardless of his successes in Hold'em poker, he favored betting gin.

Stu once said that there may a few day be a better No Limit Hold em gambler than him except he could not see how anyone could ever be a improved gin player.

In 1980 Stu was put on the global map as one of the greatest Texas holdem Poker players in the globe when he was crowned World Poker Champ for the very first time. Astonishingly it was the 1st time he had entered the tournament.

The subsequent year he dismissed any thoughts that it had been luck, by successfully protecting his title. And in 1997 Stu set the record by succeeding his 3rd World poker championship.

Stu Ungar had started out with nothing except his ability and talent for the casino game which made this poker excellent a millionaire quite a few times over.
