Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is often times viewed as one of the most difficult but well-loved poker variations. It's a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, aims for action from every level of players. This is the primary reason why a once irrelevant variation, has increased in popularity so amazingly.

Omaha hi-low begins just like a regular game of Omaha. Four cards are given out to every player. A sequence of betting ensues where players can wager, check, or drop out. Three cards are handed out, this is known as the flop. Another round of betting happens. Once all the gamblers have either called or folded, an additional card is revealed on the turn. Another round of wagering follows at which point the river card is revealed. The entrants will need to make the strongest high and low 5 card hands based on the board and hole cards.

This is the point where a number of entrants often get confused.
