Internet poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the casino's first card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager's amount is akin to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a sum equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank's hand. The house pays chips equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
